Interview with Didier Truchot Ipsos Chairman & Chief Executive Officer We have high quality and very committed teams. Their professionalism means that they know how to adapt to the changes in our business. What is your assessment of 2016 for Ipsos? In 2016, Ipsos experienced four successive quarters of growth. This performance was accompanied by other very positive signs: the New Services launched under The New Way programme are growing rapidly, the increase in gross margin has returned to levels not seen since 2011, all regions and business lines are generating growth compared to 2015 and cash flow generation is enabling Ipsos to finance its growth. How do you see your market developing? Our business involves producing and analysing information about Society, markets, people – as consumers, citizens and clients – about brands and ideas. Acting and evaluating are the two major reasons why our clients use our services. To take action you need the tools to decide what you want to do or not to do. Evaluating means being able to measure the predictable or observed impacts of actions undertaken. We are optimistic about our business because nothing replaces information. The challenge today is not only to collect it, but also to sort, select and analyse it. And we are committed to making it operational so that it is useful and therefore used. 2 Ipsos - Highlights 2016
